I am not dead and I am certainly not retired. And
yes I know I have neglected the web site for far
too long. But in my defense we have been very busy
designing new boats. We are now going to spend
some time updating the site and bringing you more
news of our latest launchings and design projects.
Max and Stacy´s Wedding
On the home front:
Max and Stacy got married last July after 9 years
of "courting". I am a very lucky father in law.
Max is also now full time at Microsoft working
with the Flight Simulator group. This is what he
has always wanted to do. He's very happy and
better paid than he was as the Perry office
gopher. Actually I miss him in the office and
there are things I now have to do that he was very
good at.
Spike is no longer going to sea. He works for
Ballard Ornamental Iron doing iron forging work.
Spike lkes to work with his hands and loves this
work. Life at sea did not fit his psyche but it
was a good experience for him. He now has a lot of
sea miles.
The new beach cabin is well underway and I will
move the office there in May. But I will not
retire!

Our most exciting projects lately have ben the Far
Harbor 39 Container Cruiser and our 40' custom
schooner up at Jespersens in BC. We are also
working on our first design for Pacific Seacraft.
This is a 38'er that will be my best shot at the
ultimate offshore cruiser for a couple.
We have an unusual powerboat underway at Schooner
Creek. It is a 1920's style commuter boat for
Little Palm Island Resrt in Florida.
The Perry Boys
Tristan Wolfe is the latest addition to the staff
here. Tristan came to me first as an intern from
The Webb Institute. I later contacted him when
things got busy here. He is smart. You have to be
a borderline genius even to get into Webb. Between
Ben and Tristan we can engineer anything.
Mom and Dad
Jill is one course away from completing her certification as a school administrator.
I'm healthy, nervous about the new house and
grumpy as ever.
